Kendrick Lamar is set to make another high-profile guest appearance this week, this time alongside Jhené Aiko.
Aiko is preparing to release Westside Whimsy, her first album in six years, with the project scheduled to arrive Friday, September 11. The singer revealed the album’s tracklist on Wednesday, giving fans their first official confirmation that Lamar will be featured on the record.
The Compton rapper is credited on a song titled “So Good,” marking another collaboration between two of the West Coast’s biggest artists.
Lamar has kept a relatively low profile recently, but he has continued to make appearances on other artists’ projects. He recently contributed a verse to DAHI’s album and has also reportedly been linked to an upcoming AZ Chike project.
With Westside Whimsy arriving this Friday, fans will not have to wait long to hear what Kendrick brings to Aiko’s new track. The collaboration adds even more anticipation to what is already shaping up to be a major return for the singer.
